ECOWAS IS LOSING WEST AFRICA 

AND TOGO JUST PROVED IT 

On April 18, 2026, Togo hosted all three Alliance of Sahel States foreign ministers in Lomé and launched a three-year national strategy built entirely around cooperation with the AES — political dialogue, security coordination, economic integration, and trade corridors through the Port of Lomé. The ECOWAS Commission President attended and praised it. The AU's Special Representative acknowledged the AES as a reality, not a disruption. And Russia's Africa Director was on the sidelines meeting the AES bloc directly. Officially, Lomé calls it a bridge. When you read the document, it is alignment.
